MAY WE CARE STORIES

Client: Ministry of Manpower | Project Date: 2021-2023

2021 began with news of the tragic death of Piang Ngaih Don, a helper from Myanmar. Like many Singaporeans, we were shocked and dismayed, believing as a nation we are better than this.

Every helper has traveled far from their family to care for ours. We believe helpers deserve dignity and a duty of care, as human beings working in our homes.

We believe Singapore can be a place where helpers can feel safe and cared for. What does the relationship look like between other employers and their helpers? We documented stories of helpers being treated with the care and concern they deserve.
